This jacket includes removable shoulder padding (with velcro) for extra protection. Also, on both arms, there are extra padding (with Plastic insert) for addtional protection as well. There is padding for both under the arms and the center of the back with additional padding for the front zipper while still making it easy to zip up and down! We wanted this new model to offer safety, style and we hope this is something that you will want to use on a regular basis for practice and competition.
**IMPORTANT** Due to the style of this jacket and the built in additional padding in comparison to our original HEMA jacket, please order 1 size larger than normal. This jacket does run on the smaller side.
(This is completely washable. Please do remember to remove the extra padding before put in wash)
